They took the knee to the butcher’s apron and stars and stripes

Closed their eyes to the children of Palestine.

National treasures of the empire

Privileged demigods in diamond-cut suits

with golden embossed words,

delirious with indoctrinations for a forever war of nations

ashes to ashes…

And the sky cried rains of domination

Tears of terror and despair falling

Desperate tormented mothers calling, crying out

orphaned babies screaming in the rubble

Their souls scorched by phosphorus, sprinkled sky

crossing continents in the winds of war.

Across the planet humans rose up…

And angels shivered in the ether

As the cosmos wailed

And the drums of Armageddon thundered.
